Within the European Union, the Czech Republic ranks among the group of countries with the highest gender pay gap. Unfair pay for women and men is a significant inequality between women and men, which, however, can be "measured" unlike some other gender inequalities.

Gender pay inequality is a long-standing and widespread problem in science and research. Female researchers generally have lower salaries than fellow researchers, hold leadership positions in academic institutions significantly less often than men, and encounter a negative attitude towards parenthood.

MENDELU is currently being tested by the Logib analytical tool, which makes it possible to determine the degree of fairness and equal pay within the university.
