Family Leave due to School Closures

In view of the fact that primary schools in the Czech Republic are closed, parents of children under the age of 10 can apply for a family leave due to the closure of a school.
As part of extraordinary measures announced by the government, schools were closed on October 14. Many parents are entitled to a family leave. In the coming days, a proposal for the so-called crisis family leave will be discussed in the Chamber of Deputies. Parents can take turns in caring for a child without restrictions, similarly to the spring months. The adjustment provides 60% of the daily assessment base in the minimum amount of CZK 400 per day (for the entire period of validity of the emergency measures).
