Gender Equality Plan at MENDELU

The gender equality plan of Mendel University in Brno for the period from 2022 to 2024 was approved by the university management and signed by the rector.

For the university staff, it means not only fulfilling one of the qualifications for participation in the Horizon Europe program, but above all another tool for supporting equal opportunities in the work environment. We do not introduce any quotas and we do not promote gender equality at the expense of the quality of work results. Our main goal is to remove barriers that hinder the professional realization and growth of women, because by not using the potential of qualified women, the university loses a significant source of excellence.

The plan is based on the findings and recommendations of the equal opportunities audit, which took place at the university in the autumn. We would like to thank all the employees who took part in the survey.
