If your remaining leave contained in the SAP/attendance schedule is only a number of hours/minutes towards the end of the year (= less than one-half of a shift), and you wish to use it all up down to zero before 31 December 2022*, please follow these steps:

1. Submit a request for leave that is 0.5 days long in the attendance schedule and attach a note to that day entry that you are using up your leave remainder of... (e.g. 3 hours). Your leave will be approved by your supervisor (if he/she agrees).

2. Based on this entry/approval in the attendance schedule, a time management administrator will enter the exact number of hours of leave used into SAP at the end of the month. The exact number of hours/minutes are not entered into the specific hours within a day in SAP, but the SAP system itself allocates the entered ‘hours’ to the working day. This means that the remainder is entered into SAP as, for example, 3.2 hours.

3. The remaining leave will be shown as used-up on the specific day in the attendance schedule (and actually taken by you as well), and subsequently paid with your wages.

4. Upon the nearest (routine) download of data on leave of absence from SAP to the attendance schedule, the leave in the attendance schedule will be updated so only the few hours/minutes in question will be shown as used up.

* The same also applies when managerial employees order their subordinate employees to use their leave, or they have agreed on when the subordinate employees wish to take their leave so that the leave would be fully used up by the employees in 2022.
