Changes to the Internal Job Catalogue and the Wage Regulations

12. 1. 2026

In the first half of 2026, two significant personnel-related changes will come into effect: the revised Rector’s Directive Internal Job Catalogue and the updated Wage Regulation. These documents introduce adjustments to the classification of employees and to the setting of wage conditions at Mendel University in Brno.

The Internal Job Catalogue of Mendel University in Brno (It is currently being translated into English) takes effect on 1 January 2026. This regulation newly defines the system for assigning university employees to job positions and sets out the rules for changes in their classification. Managers are required to carry out the necessary formal adjustments to job titles for employees classified before 1 January 2026 no later than 31 March 2026.

As of 1 April 2026, Amendment No. 1 to the Wage Regulations of Mendel University in Brno enters into force (It is currently being translated into English). The amendment provides a more precise definition of the currency and method in which wages may be paid. A personal allowance may newly be granted to employees with above‑standard work performance or a higher scope of duties, up to a specified percentage of their wage tariff.

The changes consist in particular of an increase in wage tariffs for both academic and non‑academic staff, as well as an adjustment to the amounts of allowances for performing managerial and academic functions, including the allowance for acting as the guarantor of a degree programme. The amendment also introduces several minor formal modifications to the text.
