Changes to the Internal Salary Regulation and the Recruitment Procedure Rules

Following the Legal Department’s announcement regarding the issuance of the new Internal Wage Regulations of Mendel University in Brno and the amendment to The Selection Procedure Rules of Mendel University in Brno, we would like to provide an overview of the changes that have a practical impact on HR administration and the work of managers. Both regulations will enter into force on 14 July 2026.

For ease of reference, the most significant changes are summarised below:

Internal Wage Regulations of Mendel University in Brno

In accordance with instructions from the Ministry, the Internal Salary Regulation now incorporates the Internal Job Catalogue, which had previously been issued as a Rector’s Directive. Consequently, Rector’s Directive No. 4/2025 – Internal Job Catalogue will be repealed with effect from 14 July 2026.

  • A new remuneration payment has been introduced for chairs of the committees specified in the Salary Regulation.

  • The descriptions of the duties and responsibilities associated with academic positions have been revised.

 

The Selection Procedure Rules of Mendel University in Brno

  • A new exemption from the recruitment procedure has been introduced for the appointment of students enrolled in a doctoral degree programme.
