MENDELU Summer Day Camp Invites Young Explorers into Prehistory

This week, MENDELU is hosting its traditional summer day camp inspired by Karel Zeman’s film Journey to the Beginning of Time.

For several days, children aged 7 to 11 have transformed into young paleontologists, exploring nature, searching for traces of ancient creatures, and recording their discoveries in their own expedition journals.

The camp program, which takes place on the university campus in Černá Pole, is packed with adventure. There are plenty of games, team activities, and creative workshops. The young participants are also enjoying unique experiences, including rafting on a river and a trip to the Pekárna Cave.

We have been organizing this day camp for several years now, and it has become a traditional part of MENDELU’s summer activities. The camp is held in cooperation with the Lužánky Leisure Time Center, which helps prepare and run the program together with us.

We wish all our young explorers many unforgettable experiences and are already looking forward to the next edition, which we will prepare for children again next summer.
