L'Oréal-UNESCO Pro women in science

L'Oréal in the Czech Republic announces the opening of registrations for the 18th edition of the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science program. Since its inception, the program, which has focused on empowering women in many scientific fields, now once again offers a platform to recognize and support up-and-coming women scientists.

The application form for female scientists working in the Czech Republic is published here and must be submitted in English no later than 31 December 2023 (inclusive). The submitted scientific projects will be evaluated by an expert jury of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, which will select the semi-finalists for oral presentations in the first round. These selected scientists will personally present their research project to a jury composed of representatives of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, L'Oréal ČR and the Czech Commission for UNESCO. Based on the oral presentations, three winners will be selected, each of whom will receive a prize of. The finalists will be announced at the latest in June 2024 in Prague.

The rules for entry are:

  • age up to 40 years (inclusive)
  • Ph.D. in physical sciences, formal sciences, engineering sciences and technology, life sciences and chemical sciences (such as biology, biochemistry, biophysics, genetics, chemistry, etc.)
