New European Charter for Researchers

At the end of 2023, EU Member States agreed to review measures to make researchers' careers more attractive and promote better working conditions.

The Council of Europe has issued a "The Council Recommendation on a European framework to attract and retain research, innovation and entrepreneurial talents in Europe ". It includes a revised European Charter for Researchers (ANNEX II). A Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers has been embedded in the Charter.

MENDELU acceded to the Charter already in 2017. In order to implement its principles, we are implementing a human resource management strategy called HRS4R. The implementation of the strategy is linked to the HR Excellence in Reseach Award, which we will defend this year together with the strategic plan for the next three-year period. More information
