Opening of exhibitions Gender Stereotypes

5. 2. 2024

We are preparing an exhibition on Gender Stereotypes. The opening will take place on 13 February at 13:00 at Jošt on Moravské náměstí.

Some we are aware of, some we still carry deep within us. Gender stereotypes are generalised ideas about the characteristics and roles of women and men and can cause discrimination against individuals and groups. Most gender stereotypes affect the lives of women, but there are also stereotypes about men. In the academic environment, we encounter stereotypes both general and specific to the field of science and research.

At the same time, we can find enough life stories that refute stereotypes or offer positive examples of how to counter them. Let us introduce colleagues from Mendel University who prove that reality is much more diverse and colourful.
