Round table: Recruitment at MENDELU

In preparation for the HR Award, we invite all MENDELU employees to another roundtable, which will be held in Czech language. This time we will discuss practical matters of recruitment and selection of employees including the links with the Open, Transparent & Merit based Recruitment policy. We would therefore welcome those who advertise and propose selection procedures as well as staff members who participate in selection panels, whether regularly, occasionally or who have ever been in this role or are interested in this topic. We would like to hear feedback on the selection process and receive suggestions for more effective cooperation in filling positions at MENDELU.

The event will take place on Tuesday 29 August 2023 from 10:00 to 12:00 in classroom Q38 (3rd floor of Building Q).

We will cover the following topics:

  • Submission of selection procedures using the forms in the Contact Centre.
  • Recruitment application Teamio.
  • How should our advertisements look like? What belongs in them, what doesn't, how to make them attractive?
  • Where to advertise and how to use social networks in recruitment?
  • What are the roles in the recruitment process?
  • How to conduct interviews?
  • How to evaluate candidates?
  • How to talk about salary and working conditions?
  • How to improve the interaction between the HRMO and the workplace when onboarding new employees?
  • How to set up an adaptation process for newcomers?

The discussion will be moderated by:
