Rich cultural life

There is always something going on in Brno. The range of theatre productions, concerts and exhibitions is so wide that you won’t know where to go first. A festival called “Brno – a City in the Centre of Europe” takes place every year at the end of May and beginning of June. It includes a very popular competitive fireworks display which is one of the biggest fireworks shows in central Europe. There is also a series of cultural events called “The Brno Summer of Culture”, which features the increasingly popular Brno Shakespeare Festival. Brno is indeed a city of many festivals – other festivals that take place here are for example the international Theatre World festival and the Cinema film festival. If you prefer to sit peacefully with a nice cup of coffee or good food, you can go to one of the numerous local bistros, restaurants or cafés. The city has something for everyone!

Transport in BrnoExcellent transport links

Brno’s integrated public transport system has an extensive and well-arranged network. You can easily reach the surrounding villages by bus as well. Public transport is very frequent and the prices of tickets and season tickets are reasonable. Thanks to the small distances, it is possible to get from one end of Brno to the other in a very short time. Among other things, Brno is renowned for its special night buses, which you will quickly get used to.

Close to nature

Unspoilt environment, clean air and beautiful countryside are all within easy reach of Brno. Everything is at a stone’s throw – the distances here are small and in the centre, it is convenient to travel on foot. If you visit some of the outskirts, you will feel as if you are in the countryside. Even if it may not seem like it, you can always get relatively quickly from Brno to a forest. All you have to do is take the tram or get on your bike and use one of the many cycle paths that will take you to the countryside.

Pleasant living

Brno is sufficiently big for lovers of big cities and at the same time small enough for people who prefer peace and quiet and nature. Despite the fact that the prices of property are exorbitant, the demand is not falling. There is high demand in particular for flats and houses on the outskirts of the city. Another possibility is renting a flat, and if living on the periphery doesn’t bother you, the price can be lower.
