Mendel University in Brno ranks amongst the most important employers in the South Moravian region. Our aim is to provide quality education, conduct first-rate research and play an important social role not only in Brno and the South Moravian region but also in the Czech Republic as a whole and on the international level.
In the latest THE World University Rankings 2024, MENDELU was ranked for the fifth time and was placed 1201st-1500th out of a total of 1,904 schools from 104 countries. In THE World University Rankings by Subject for 2024 , our university was ranked in five fields of study, namely Business & Economics (601st-800th), Life Sciences (801st -1000th), Physical Sciences (801st -1000th), Social Sciences (601st-800th) and Engineering (1001+). Mendel University in Brno appears in the Emerging Economies University Rankings 2022 at 401st-500th place.
MENDELU is also actively involved in the QS (Quacqarelli Symonds) world rankings. According to the currently published results of the QS World University Rankings 2024: Top Global Universities, our university is ranked 901st-950th out of a total of 1,500 universities. In the QS WUR Ranking By Subject, MENDELU is regularly ranked within the Agriculture and Forestry area, where it is ranked 201st-250th in the current edition of this ranking.
The most recent ranking in which the University has participated in the past year is the so-called "green" ranking of universities, the UI GreenMetric, initiated by the University of Indonesia. In the most recently published 2023 edition, 1,183 schools were ranked in this ranking, 6 of which were from the country. MENDELU is ranked 361st, the 3rd position among Czech universities.
