Measures that promote gender equality at MENDELU:
- Equal attitude is embedded in the university's Statute, Ethical Code, the Code of Conduct, and the Selection Procedure Rules at MENDELU.
- We conducted an analysis of gender equality and fairness in remuneration for women and men using the LOGIB tool.
- We issued recommendations for gender-sensitive communication both within the university and towards the public.

- In November 2024, we organised a roundtable for managers and on how to use flexible working in a university environment.
- in January 2023, a webinar on Gender Dimensions in Science and Research was held at the University.
- Unwanted behaviour, including gender-based harassment, is addressed through Safe MENDELU.
- As part of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we participated in the Science Slam Women Belong in Science on 11 March 2022.
- In November 2022, a videoepizode entitled (In)Equal Opportunities premiered. The project was created in cooperation between Masaryk University, Mendel University in Brno and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
- In October 2023, we held a discussion forum on How to communicate with Generation Z,where we discussed with experts from various fields how to manage intergenerational differences in communication at the university.
- On 13 September 2023, Professor Emmanuelle Charpentier, winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for developing a method for genome editing, was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor Honoris Causa by Mendel University.
- At the end of 2023, the university journal Mendel Green was published on the topic of gender.
- As part of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science 2024, we organised an exhibition on Gender Stereotypes in Brno city centre.
- During the celebration of 105 years of MENDEL (autumn 2024), we presented the theme Women at the University in the photo exhibition "Then and Now".
- In December 2024, we organised a discussion forum on the topic Equality Begins at Home, where we discussed with experts from various fields how the division of domestic responsibilities affects the lives and career opportunities of both genders.
