The university campus is located almost in the centre of Brno, in Černá Pole, which is one of the most attractive districts of the city. The site is surrounded by the First-Republic-era houses and villas, and the famous functionalist Villa Tugendhat as well as the equally interesting Era Café are located nearby.
On the campus grounds and in the surrounding area you will find everything you need in your daily life. Classrooms, laboratories and offices with state-of-the-art equipment are a matter of course. You can park on the premises and there are bus and tram stops virtually at the front door of the main building. A canteen is available for employees, and you can have a coffee or snack in one of the two snack bars. If you want to clear your head, you can go to the Botanical Garden and Arboretum, which are part of the premises.
The second university campus is located in Lednice – a jewel of Southern Moravia registered on the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites.
The university also comprises two special-purpose facilities for research and teaching – the Training Forest Enterprise Masaryk Forest Křtiny and the University Agricultural Enterprise in Žabčice.
Working at the university brings with it many diverse experiences. We have fun at balls, sporting events (hockey, Run of MENDELU, dragon boats), ceremonies, science popularisation events (Researchers’ Night, various exhibitions, etc.), and so much more.
